Payrolls headline number miss estimate at 431K, lower than previous 678K. The unemployment rate ticks lower to 3.6% from prev. 3.8%
Participation rate in March ticks higher to 62.4% from 62.3%, the highest rate since March 2020
Unemployment rates across ethnicities saw declines, with White at 3.2% (-0.1), Latino at 4.2% (-0.2), African American at 6.2% (-0.4)
Leisure and hospitality led the gains in March at 112K, this was followed by Business Svcs at 102K. Utilities and Transportation saw contractions, however, these were marginal. Manufacturing payrolls increased by 38K
3 Mo Average ticks higher to 550K as prev month was revised higher to 750K
