Our own measure of U.S. inflation surprises fell by 50 index points to -76, this is the lowest level recorded since February 2020
U.S. June core PCE deflator came in lower than expected at 4.1% Y/y, the headline printed in line at 3.0%
Earlier data had seen headline CPI and Core rise by 3.0% and 3.8% Y/y, respectively
This records the second consecutive month of declines in our inflation surprise index, with headline CPI as the largest downside contributor
