💼🔻 February Sees Finance Jobs Decline For First Time Since 2021: Cable FX Macro

  • The U.S. February labour report saw the headline add 311K jobs, vs the consensus median of 225K. However, the broad read can be interpreted as mixed

  • We saw manufacturing jobs decline by 4K vs the consensus median of +10K and the prior +19K, the unemployment rate ticked higher to 3.6% from a prior 3.4%

  • We also saw some softness from the financial sector as it posted a decline in jobs for the first time since February 2021. The sector added jobs for 23 consecutive months, the latest read printed a shed of 1.0K jobs
