🏦🇲🇽UBS Sees Four 25bps Rate Hikes From Banxico

  • Mexican Inflation for the first half of July came in at 0.37% for headline and 0.31% for core, both above UBS expectations and consensus

  • INEGI showed the July 1H increase was largely driven by energy prices and processed foods

  • UBS wrote in a note that after the July inflation prints, Banxico doves are likely to accept 25bps hikes in each of the four remaining meetings this year.

  • That would leave the Banxico policy rate at 5.25% by the end of the year.

Investing and trading involve risk. This includes the possible loss of principal and fluctuations in value. There is no assurance that objectives will be met. Do not risk capital that you cannot afford to lose.
