🇺🇸U.S. July CPI Prints At -0.019% M/M

  • U.S. inflation prints negative for the first time since May 2020, July headline CPI at -0.019 M/m

  • On a monthly basis, fuel oil declined the most, followed by gasoline prices

  • Electricity and food were the largest increases seen in July

  • Food inflation increased to 1.1% M/m; Prev. 1.0%

  • Gasoline prices fell 7.7% M/m; Prev. +11.2%

  • Energy declined by 4.6% M/m; Prev. +7.5%
