The S&P 500 led the equity benchmarks weekly performance, rising 3.8%, closing at 4,712.02 (a record high close).
EU bourses followed the gains, with the SMI rising 3.6%, FTSE rising 2.4%. The Norway benchmark was the exception in this group, rising by only 0.7%.
Overall, risk saw bid this week as we head into major economic events.
