Last week, we saw a slight tightening in financial conditions, however, monetary stress has eased and the FCIs are set to finish the year off lows across our tracking list
The U.S. FCI constructed by Bloomberg is just about 20bps below its 1-year average, this is despite the Fed starting to tight policy in March
Conditions currently do not reflect much of the lifting by central banks, this argues for relatively strong sentiment and the potential risks that inflation might stay high over the medium term
