🛢 Commodities Snapshot: Crude Oil Falls 5.9% On The Week

  • The week saw commodities' prices fall across the board, crude oil fell 5.9% on the week, closed June -7.8%, first monthly loss since November. Crude oil futures have not closed a week above $110/bbl since early June

  • Copper recorded a massive 12.7% drop, this followed a prior weekly 11.2% loss, this is the metal's worst week since April 2020

  • Gold declined by 2.5%, worst week since late may. Spot trades at $1,808.29/oz

  • The CRB Commodity index closed the week down 6.4%, this was the benchmark's 9th consecutive week of losses
