📊 S&P Global May Flash PMIs: U.K. Activity At Lowest Since Feb. 2021

• Flash PMIs preliminary readings for May below:

• The largest miss was seen in the U.K. figures, with the composite falling to 51.8 from 56.5, this was the lowest reading since Feb. 2021. The diffusion index holds in expansion territory for the 15th consecutive month

• The U.S. survey missed by a lesser extent, declining to 53.8 from 56 seen a month before and a 68.7 recorded the same month a year earlier. New orders declined to 54.4, this was the lowest since August 2020, while input prices accelerated to a record high
