🧮 Leveraged Funds Trim Yen Net Short to Lowest Since February: Cable FX Macro

  • This week, the CFTC data showed the largest changes in % of open interest in the Swiss franc and the N.Z. dollar, the yen followed

  • Leveraged funds trim their net short position in yen to the lowest since February as % of OI rises 4.6pp to -2.8%

  • The kiwi turns net long this week, % of OI is now at 12.9%. Leveraged funds have not been this bullish on NZD since December 2021

  • Positioning in Swiss franc futures by leveraged funds saw a building in net short, % of OI is now at -15.2%, this is close to its 5-year standard deviation lower band
