🧮IMM Positioning: GBP Turns Short From Neutral, Dollar Builds Net Long

  • The most notable changes were seen in GBP and USD this week, the former turned short to -11% of open interest while the dollar increased its net long position to 56% from 48% of OI

  • The USD net long surpassed its May peak and recorded at the highest seen since November 2019. Net long positioning is still some way from its high in the five-year history but closing the 1-standard deviation band

  • In antipodes, NZD net longs are pared back, still remain in stretched long territory. AUD was unchanged in stretched short at -48% of OI
