  • An analysis of underlying inflation momentum reveals that 50% of sub-components in the US CPI basket are currently expanding at an annualized rate above 2%. While this reflects a significant moderation from peak inflation cycles where broad-based price pressures dominated the index, a 50% breath reading underscores that inflationary sticky spots persist beyond standard baseline targets.

  • 37.5% of components running above a 5% annualized rate, price pressure distribution remains relatively concentrated within specific categories—such as core services and housing—rather than being evenly spread across the entire consumer basket.

  • U.S. 2-year Treasury yields rise to 4.800% on Wednesday session to mark a third consecutive day of increases. The 2-year U.S. Treasury yields track a 132bps increase this year.

Investing and trading involve risk. This includes the possible loss of principal and fluctuations in value. There is no assurance that objectives will be met. Do not risk capital that you cannot afford to lose.
