⚖️FX Spot & 5-Year Yields

• Last week saw the dollar outperforming G10 peers by 0.5%, measured by the Bloomberg dollar index. The worst performance was posted by the Canadian dollar at -1.3%. The CAD and the NZD saw their 5-year yields tick lower by 8.5 and 9.2 bps, respectively

• The outliers to the spot & yields relationship are the USD and the GBP. The 5-year gilt yield jumped by 11bps! Still, it posted a flat week to the USD, while the U.S. equivalent fell by 6bps. However, the pound outperformed the rest of the G10.
