The Citi Economic Surprise Index for the eurozone jumped by 11 index points to 79.0, this is the highest since July 2021
Economic figures appear to have surprised economists consensus as the region battles record high inflation, supply disruptions and the uncertainty from the energy front given the invasion of Ukraine
The difference between the eurozone and the U.S. CESIs is now at the highest since June. This is because economic figures have not been surprising to the upside in the U.S. as much as in the eurozone
