• Looking at the three top major holders of U.S. Treasury securities, August saw an increase on a net basis. Japan (top holder) stands at $1.32 tln, China holds $1.05 tln, and the UK holds $569 bln

• On a monthly basis, Japan increased holdings by $9.6 bln and the UK increased U.S. tsy securities by $29.5 bln. China saw the largest reduction in a year, -$21.3 bln.
