Primary presidential elections will be held Sunday in Argentina and the main focus will be who wins the primary election in Juntos por el Cambio (or JxC), the main opposition party.
The latest polls show a tight race between Buenos Aires City Mayor Horacio Rodriguez Larreta and Former Security Minister Patricia Bullrich, with the latter leading by a small difference. Bullrich's economic team favors lifting capital controls and eliminating multiple exchange rates rather quickly, while Rodriguez Larreta's team has a more 'gradualist' approach.
JxC shows on average 33pp vote intention on the polls, having a 3pp lead over the ruling party's candidate, Economy Minister Sergio Massa. In third place, with an average of 2Upp vote intention is Javier Milei, an outsider who wants to dollarize the economy and ditch the peso for good. - UBS Strategy
