U.K. Unemployment Rate Falls to 4.2% In October

  • U.K. unemployment fate falls to 4.2% in October from 4.3%, this was in line with estimates. The ONS reported that there was a labor force increase of 257K in November, this was 424K up from the pre-coronavirus level (Feb 2020)

  • ONS: Job vacancies rose by 434.5K from pre-covid levels in November to a record 1.219 million. Average pay continues to post robust numbers, annual including bonuses printed at 4.9%. The data precedes the Bank of England rate decision on Thursday
