  • The U.K. Citi Economic Surprise Index jumped by almost 20 index points to 72.5 on the week, this is now the highest since April

  • Last week's docket saw the employment report, CPI and retail sales. Inflation and sales came in higher than the consensus estimate, while the unemployment rate surprised to the upside
