September flash readings for the S&P Global PMI surveys showed mixed performances from our tracking list of economies. Germany, Eurozone, and U.K. indexes came lower than in August while the U.S. and France saw higher than previous figures
As of September, the French S&P Global Composite PMI is the only index to read above 50.0, last 51.2, up 0.8 from August
The U.S. composite PMI jumped by 4.7 points to 49.3, the biggest monthly rise seen since February
The U.K. composite PMI fell the most across our tracking list in September, the index extended softness to 48.4 to mark the third consecutive month of declines
The German equivalent posted its seventh consecutive month of declines and is now the softest in our tracking list, last read in the composite PMI is 45.9, lowest since May 2020
