This week saw the CAD overnight indexed swap market increasing rate hike bets as we head into the Bank of Canada monetary policy decision. Next week's BoC meeting holds a 71% chance of hike/cut, the March meeting sits at 90% chance of hike/cut. In terms of tightening, the Bank of Canada continues to be the second most aggressive bank via OIS.
As of last Friday, the overnight indexed swap market priced in a 98% chance of a rate hike in the Federal funds rate in March. A total of 4 rate increases are expected in 2022 in the USD OIS curve
