We will have November consumer prices updates from developed markets this week. Broadly speaking, the Bloomberg survey median sees UK and Sweden CPI coming higher than previous, Canadian CPI is expected to stay unchanged. Also, the BoC is updating its inflation mandate on Monday, RBC sees no change in the target.
Adding some visual guidance to Bloomberg's Inflation Tracker. After Friday's update on U.S. consumer prices, the difference between actual inflation and its central bank's target inflation rate leads the group at a 3.0% above target, this is closely followed by Euro Area's 2.9%. Australia and Switzerland are the only nations in our selected list to be in line with target, while Japan is missing the BoJ's goal of 2.0% CPI by 1.9%
