China increased its holding of U.S. Treasury securities in July by $2.2 billion to $970 billion, while the increase is marginal, this is the first addition seen in seven months. China is the second-largest holder of Tsy securities after Japan
Japan holdings of U.S. Treasury securities were trimmed to $1.234 trillion in July, the change was of about $2 billion. We had seen a sharp reduction of Tsy securities held by Japan in early March, when holdings ticked at around $1.30 tln
